ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Background

Old model: Brands often pay less than $250 for a UGC video. One time.

This model doesn’t really benefit anyone:

• Brands take financial risk on unproven content (this is increasingly unworkable in today’s algorithms)
• When a creative does work, it can go on to make the brand hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars, which means you as the creator gets paid way less than you deserve.

We propose a new model (this is what more and more of the best brands are doing).

We do not pay up front for a video. Instead, we pay commission on sales generated by ads using your creative.

Then, we provide all the support and resources we possibly can to help you make winning ads:

• Coaching, examples and support in this document, our private group chat (coming soon) and 1-on-1 calls
• Free product whenever you need
• A referral link that you can share with friends, family and followers
• Personal brand recognition and followers (our ads bring consistent new traffic to your account)

This is a partnership. Therefore, we only want to proceed where there is a mutual fit: if you are genuinely excited about our product and can see yourself becoming a part of our community, and we believe you fit into the world we are building, we’d love to work with you.

How it Works

Use the examples we provide here and any other inspiration you find, to come up with ideas for ad creatives.

Once you have your creative, there are three ways to make money:

1. Upload your creative to Trybe. We will launch this in our ad account, put spend behind it, and if the numbers work we will keep increasing spend (= more sales and commission). Note that you don’t need to do anything after you’ve created and uploaded your video (except check on your commission).
2. Share in your own channels using your referral link. If you can show traction here (engagement, likes, comments) it will very likely work as an ad, and will almost guarantee that we accept the creative and put spend behind it. You may choose to boost posts to speed up and amplify this process.
3. Send your raw clips to us and we will use our editors to make more creatives using your clips (you still make 10% commission)

You can choose to do any or all of these options for any one creative.

Commission & Payouts

We pay 10% of sales for as long as we run the ad. A great ad can run for 200+ days and generate hundreds of thousands of dollars.

For any referrals outside of ads, using your unique link, you make $50 per sale.

For the latter, you can choose to be compensated in either cash or store credit.

Store credit is paid instantly with no minimum. Cash payouts for both ad commission & referrals happen on a rolling 30-day basis, with a $100 minimum for each channel. Any unpaid commission will roll over to your balance for the next month.

Requirements

• Must genuinely love our product & mission
• Must sign non-disclosure agreement
• Must allow us the option to run your creatives as a partner ad (i.e. when someone sees the ad, it will appear under your account, if we choose to enable this)
• To receive cash payouts, you must provide a W-9
